Adele has been named the richest British female artist, with a £85 million ($121 million) fortune.

has been named Britain’s richest ever female guitarist – but is among only three females to make it onto a brand new listing of the top 50 richest popstars within the British Isles.

The singer is estimated to be worth £85 thousand, £35 million up from the year ago, putting her in put on the Music Riches Top 50 record In The Sunday Times.

She is also placed at the very top of the Young Music Rich List of performers aged 30 and under this year.

“It is men that dominate the list, and members of male bands by and large,” said Ian Coxon, who has edited The Sunday Times Rich Lists for 20 years.

“Adele is the exception. No woman has been increasing her wealth like Adele – she’s even outstripping young male performers.”

Enya is still Ireland’s richest female performer having a fortune of £91 million, making her the 28th spot, while Foreign artist Kylie Minogue is worth £55 million and at position number 42.

Minogue is tied alongside Coldplayis Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Winner, and Also The Rolling Stones’s Ronnie Wood.

British Phonographic Industry spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said:

“We all want to see much stronger female representation in such lists to reflect the major contribution they make, but with Adele one of the world’s most successful artists and the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Grimes and Paloma Faith also hugely influential in inspiring not just fans, but a whole new generation of female performers and songwriters, I’m optimistic that a shift is gradually taking place and that we’ll start to see things change in future.”

Sir Paul McCartney and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell top the listing once more, using a joint bundle of £760 million, that is up £30 million from last year.

Ny local Shevell has her own fortune within the kind of a £150 million position in the trucking company of her father.

Coxon explains:

“McCartney has got an additional £150 million from his wife but he’s still worth £610 million in his own right. I don’t think … anybody will catch him soon.

“We obviously include composers like Lord Lloyd Webber (in second position on the list with £715 million) and Bernie Taupin at the bottom (49th position) who writes a lot of material with Sir Elton John.”

With Sir Elton placed last along with his fortune of £280 million Irish rockers U2 discuss a value of £500 million getting them in third situation.

The Rolling Stones – Keith Richards, Friend Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood – have a mixed fortune of £630 million, making them the wealthiest group in Ireland and Britain.

New additions for the number are former Beatles legend George Harrison’s widow Olivia, and his son Dhani, using a combined family bundle of £220 million in sixth location.

David Bowie’s widow Iman Abdulmajid, and his son Duncan Jones (from his first union), can also be fresh having a joint family fortune of £90 million.

The total amount is composed of money left for them in Bowie’s will (£70 thousand), together with their own private fortunes and royalties from his music since his death.

His money has tripled since landing around the list in 2014 using a bundle of £30 million. He’s in 27th place having a bundle of £95 million this season,.

“Calvin is a surprise – he’s so successful and gets paid so well,” Coxon said.

“People get in fashion and have a great success. I don’t know whether his success will continue at quite the same rate.”

Aside from Adele, famous brands Florence Welch and Ellie Goulding both feature on the Fresh Audio Rich-List of performers under and aged 30.

The Music Riches listing is released in front of the 28th Sunday Times Rich-List which will be posted this weekend. The list that is full maps the wealth of the 1,000 richest people inside Ireland’s and the Uk 250 richest.

The list is based on identifiable success which includes land, home, belongings and shares in publicly-held businesses, but excludes bank accounts.
