Her moody, melancholy, sepia-toned video for the album’s hit single “Hello” passed 1 billion views on Vevo on Monday in record-breaking time.

Even before this milestone, Adele’s “Hello” had brought YouTube to its knees with a record-breaking 27.7 million views in its first 24 hours back an October, hitting 100 million views within just five days.

Since then, the hype for “Hello” has leveled out and remained fairly steady, adding just under 10 million views per day throughout most of December and January.

The track itself spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since it’s debut on the Nov. 14 chart.

The album spent seven consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, only recently knocked from No. 1 by David Bowie’s Blackstar.
