The Jamaican entertainer, who is currently embarked on a twelve-city tour in Europe, performed Kartel’s 2010 smash hit single “Clarks” twice for the fans in attendance during his performances.
Aidonia and the “Fever” deejay were close friends back in 2006 when Kartel left the Bounty Killer’s Alliance and formed his own group named Portmore Empire. Back then, they have collaborated on the single “Deadly Alliance.”
The “Yeah Yeah” hit maker and Kartel later cut ties and went their separate ways.
Aidonia has since commenced his own team called JOP, which he now calls 4thGenna.
Aidonia’s European tour, which commenced on August 4 at Belgium’s Reggae Geel, is expected to last three weeks, spanning several countries, with stops in Antwerp, Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, Toulon, and Lecca, among other major cities.
“Europe has always been a place that shows Aidonia a lot of love, so it’s important that we as artistes reciprocate,” Aidonia said.
“The fans have been requesting to see me for some time now, so that is enough motivation for me to make sure to give them nothing less than a 110 per cent. Because they don’t get to see me very often, therefore, I have to leave them with something memorable.”
The deejay is expected to return to the island at the end of August to complete work on a number of projects, including the official visuals for “IG Girl,” “Banga,” and his latest monster hit, “Yeah Yeah.”
