Beenie Man recently took to social media to share a photo of himself with English rapper Yxng Bane during a video shoot.
The musicians were on set for their remix of “Vroom.”
“Vroom vroom 🎶🎶🎥🎬🎞,” Beenie Man captioned the photo on Instagram.
On the photograph, which was posted on Wednesday (May 16), several Dancehall fans suspect the “Girls Dem Sugar” deejay and his associate of being gays.
“Batty mens,” a user wrote.
“Mi disappointed.. a whey di bloodclaat a gwaan🤔 yah suh? Doc look like him a starve from malnutrition and him a spar wid an obvious battyman. Tight pants annuh fashion, buy slim fit and not skinny jeans.. dat a fi di gal dem.,” another commented.
One user went as far as asking Beenie Man if he is “coming out the closet.”
“@kingbeenieman are you gay? 🤔” the user asked before adding, “you actually coming out the closet now.”
Beenie Man has yet to respond to any of the unmannerly comments.
In 2012, the “Nuff Gal” deejay issued his “sincerest apologies” for his anti-gay lyrics.
The Dancehall veteran, whose real name is Anthony Moses Davis, promised to renounce violence towards others, regardless of their religious belief and sexual preference, in a statement issued via Youtube.
In an interview with The Advocate, Beenie explained his reason for putting out the apology.
“What really motivated me to do something like that is the love of the music and the respect for people,” he said.
“This is who I am, and this is where I’m going, and this is where my head space is. And if we sing for one set of people and the next set of people not listen to the music, it don’t make sense. That mean you’re off way in the world.”
The artiste even stated that if he found out his son was gay he would still love him.
“He’s my son. I love him already. It’s not gonna make me hate him. All left to do is to support him and guide him through.”
