Beenie Man Demands Respect, Claims He's Still The King Of Dancehall

is requesting respect and is asserting that he is still the King of Dancehall.

Taking to social media, the Jamaican entertainer to express he is a “fashion icon, music pioneer and and Dancehall King.”

This comes after the incarcerated deejay, , was named the king of the genre by Fox 5 New York news.

“He is one of the biggest names in Caribbean music despite being in prison for years, we are talking about the King of Dancehall, Vybz Kartel,” the anchors said.

The TV programme, which often features Dancehall acts as well as Hip-Hop, have also presented Alkaline and Masicka as guest appearances on the show. The feature sparked a debate among Dancehall fanatics on who was the current “King of Dancehall.” While many argued that Beenie Man is still reigning, others said he was dethroned by Vybz Kartel.
