The “Sufferer” deejay is of the view that credit is sometimes something that has to be properly negotiated while explaining that Drake is not stealing the genre but “aligning himself with Dancehall.”

“Drake has done the Dancehall Youths a favour. To have 4 main Dancehall artistes on his album as an international act, I have never seen any other international act (non-/non-Dancehall) done that before.,” says Bounty Killer confidently.

“To say he is stealing the Dancehall from us, with 4 major Dancehall acts don’t make sense to me. He is only trying to align himself with Dancehall (to me), I think,” he added.
