Buju Banton is alive and in good health despite rumors that the singer had gotten a stroke in prison.

Social media spread rumours on Saturday that the Jamaican singer Buju Banton had gotten a stroke in prison, and therefore hospitalised.

However, a source close to the Grammy award-winner told Hype Life Magazine that the 43-year-old is in good health and that the reports are false.

“Gargamel [Buju Banton] is doing good and the reports are completely false,” the source reveals.

The health of the Grammy-winner is perfect, according to the Correctional Department of Georgia and the representatives of the artiste.

Born Mark Anthony Myrie on July 15th, 1973, Buju Banton is serving a ten-year sentence after being found selling drugs in Tampa, Florida.

He will be released in late 2018.
