Buju Banton is scheduled to go on tour next year summer following his release from prison.

Buju Banton, who is set to be released on December 8, is preparing to go on tour next year summer.

Sources close to the incarcerated Reggae star told Hype Life Magazine that the strings of events dubbed “Long Walk To Freedom” tour is expected to run for several months.

“Its official, Buju Banton is to embark on tour next year summer. His management team is working hard towards his shows and they’re planning on releasing new materials in the mix,” a source revealed.

“The Gargamel is expected to go on tour 6 months after his release from prison, people be ready!” another source confirmed.

Buju Banton has collaborated with a variety of international artists including Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Trey Songz, Rancid, and Bob Marley’s sons Stephen Marley and Damian Marley.

The “Destiny” musician, whose real name is Mark Myrie, is currently being held at McRae Correctional Facility in Georgia.

The Jamaican entertainer was arrested in 2009 on cocaine charges, given a mandatory 10-year sentence in 2011, and previously scheduled to be released in 2019.
