Capleton, who is facing a rape charge, had his bail extended when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday (June 14).
The prosecution was also ordered to make disclosure to the defence by June 21.
The 51-year-old, whose real name is Clifton Bailey, was arrested and charged on May 11.
According to the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, on Saturday, April 28, around 11:20 am, Bailey hired a female hairdresser to groom his hair at a hotel in the New Kingston area.
The report further alleged that while at the hotel, he forcibly had sexual intercourse with the woman.
Attorney Christopher Townsend, who is representing Capleton, has denied the allegations and maintained that his client is innocent.
Capleton is know for hits such as “Jah Jah City,” “Slew Dem,” and “In Har Heart.”
