Cardi B has been nominated for two Grammy awards.
The New York native is up for two awards at the 2018 ceremony, due to be held at Madison Square Garden in February next year.
She is nominated twice for “Bodak Yellow” and will face off against JAY-Z’ “The Story Of O.J.,” Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE,”, Rapsody’s “Sassy,” and Run The Jewels’ “Chase Me” in the Best Rap Song category.
“Bodak Yellow” is also nominated for Best Rap Performance alongside Big Sean’s “Bounce Back,” JAY-Z’s “4:44,” Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE,” and “Bad and Boujee” by Migos featuring Lil Uzi Vert.
In 2016, these prizes were won by Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and Chance The Rapper’s “No Problem” respectively.
Technically, Cardi is not credited as a writer on “Bodak Yellow,” meaning that if she wins she wouldn’t be personally eligible for an award. The track is credited to multiple writers including Kodak Black, whose 2014 hit “No Flockin” acted as a source for the single.
JAY-Z leads the pack with the most nominations this year.
The 60th Grammy Awards are scheduled to air on Sunday January 28, 2018 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
