Chris Brown was arrested Thursday night in Florida, where he was performing as part of a nationwide tour.
The 29-year-old singer had just wrapped up a show at the Coral Sky Ampitheatre in West Palm Beach when he jumped into a police cruiser, according to TMZ.
Chris Brown was wanted on a felony battery warrant from the Hilllsborough County Sheriff’s office, according to WPTV.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that he was booked on the charge and then released on $2,000 bond. Hillsborough is about 150 miles northwest of Palm Beach.
It was unclear early Friday morning what the battery charge related to.
The singer has had several run-ins with the law, including physical assault charges following an incident with his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009. He was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats in that incident and received five years’ probation and community service.
