Cricket superstar Chris Gayle will miss a couple of matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after flying back to Jamaica to be with his partner for the birth of his first child, media outlets in India are reporting.
Chris Gayle’s girlfiend Natasha Berridge has reportedly given birth to the batsman’s first child — a baby girl.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman Chris Gayle will miss the next two matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 due to the birth of his first child.
Source close to the batsman explained to Hype Life Magazine that Gayle received a call and flied back to Jamaica for his son’s birth.
“Chris flew back immediately after RCB’s last match (against Delhi Daredevils on April 17). We did not expect this. He got a call and flew back home,” the source revealed.
On Monday, April 18 — the left-handed batsmen confirmed this news on Instagram where he wrote:
“I’m on my way, Baby.”
On Wednesday, posted a picture of himself, in what appeared to be a hospital, wearing a mask on his Instagram account with the text:
“#CurrentSituation – Got milk?”
Gayle will miss the upcoming matches against Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 20 and the match against Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) on April 22.
36-year-old Gayle is expected to rejoin RCB on April 25.
