Dancehall artiste Elephant Man had his bail extended when his rape trial failed to get under way in the Home Circuit Court on November 2.
The artist, whose real name is Oneil Bryan, was given a bail extension on Monday after the trial failed to get underway at the Home Circuit Court as scheduled.
The trial could not begin because there was another court case taking place.
As a result, the case has been rescheduled to February 8, 2016.
The self-proclaimed ‘Energy God,’ known for a litany of dance-enthused hits, was originally charged with rape and grievous sexual assault in 2012 after an alleged incident with a woman at his Hillcrest, St. Andrew residence.
