Fantasia jetted to Jamaica, where she showered outdoor (first time), performed in Kingston and enjoyed a high-end villa hotel in Portland.

American Idol and Grammy Award Winner recently visited , where she was slated to headline a concert in on Friday March 18.

The “When I See U” singer, whose real name is Fantasia Barrino, stayed at Strawberry Hill and The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, as well as Trident Hotel in Portland.

The singer remarked on how beautiful her hotel suite is, along with the sense of peace she gets from the island’s environment.

She has shared breathtaking photos of Jamaica from her hotel rooms on Instagram.

The singer also shared with fans that she showered for the first time out in the open.

“First time taking a shower out in the open but Man did it feel Great.. Jamaica 🇯🇲,” said Barrino.

Fantasia Tours Women’s Centre in Kingston

On Friday, ahead of Fantasia’s performance at the annual ‘Blues on the Green’  Charity Concert at Emancipation Park, the “Bittersweet” singer was taken on a tour of the Women’s Centre in Kingston.

Fantasia used the opportunity to share her experience of being a teen mom with the girls and offered them advice as they go through this phase of their life.

She was accompanied by Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange, Jamaica’s Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport (CGES). During their tour of the facility, the minister used the opportunity to offer words of encouragement to teen moms.

Blues on the Green, which was held at Emancipation Park, is the 24th staging of the United States (U.S.) Embassy’s marquee cultural event. It celebrates African-American History Month and the contributions of African-Americans to American society.

Fantasia rose to fame as winner of season three reality television series American Idol in 2004. Following her victory, she released her debut single “I Believe,” which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Subsequently, her debut album ‘Free Yourself ‘went certified Platinum and got three Grammy nominations in 2006.
