The Dancehall artist, on Thursday (June 15), took to social media to share a photo of the child posing with five medals which she won at her recent prep school sports day.
“When your babies are champions Maliha Muir/ Ashiek Muir,” I-Octane captioned the image on Instagram.
DJ Amber later took to Instagram to post a screenshot of I-Octane’s post.
“They say a picture is worth a thousand words but the caption on this one says a lot more. And the timing is just right. With father’s day coming up on Sunday maybe @realioctane can finally get a Father’s Day big up from mi. #wholaughslastlaughsbest #lovemymaliha #justmaybe 😂😂😂,” she wrote.
Further, DJ Amber took to media reporters, on Friday (June 16), to reveal that the “Buss A Blank” deejay is finally taking part in regular daddy duties.
“I am satisfied with the outcome, and we have cleared up the paternity issues,” she told the Jamaica Star.
“He had said I was trying to tarnish his name, but it turned out that I was the one who got tarnished unfairly. He recently confirmed to the public that he is the father, and we are in a good place because he agreed to a settlement that I am satisfied with,” she added.
DJ Amber also disclosed that I-Octane’s decision to make the Instagram post is timely, stating that the paternity matter was settled on June 6 in the Supreme Court.
“It’s a good look for him, especially since Father’s Day is around the corner,” she said.
“This could have been done a long time ago, but nothing happens before time. He has access to visits, and he has already started to play his role. As a matter of fact, he has been visiting since 2012 until now. We have also had an amicable relationship since 2013. I feel like I was put with this person for my daughter because she makes me so happy,” she explained.
“I have never told my daughter anything negative about him, so she feels completely normal and they will have a normal father-daughter relationship. His admission on social media has given me closure in the public space, and I think his post was appropriate. Some people say I should get a public apology, but I have laid the matter to rest. It is up to him if he wants to do that,” she noted.
In 2011, I-Octane and the Irie FM disc jock made headlines after DJ Amber declared that the “Badmine Dem A Pree” deejay was the father of her child.
The pair later reportedly engaged in a messy child support drama after claims of the “Lose A Friend” singer was not honoring his duties as a father.
