Jamaican actress Shauna Chin Lands Role on US Primetime TV

Jamaican born, LA based actress adds Primetime television to the actress’ body of work as she lands a role on ‘Criminal Minds’ TV series on CBS. Chin is set to begin shooting on Dec 10, 2014.

Chin has been making a name for herself in US-based Independent Feature Films, such as ’12/12/12′ and ‘The Necklace’ just to name a few.

“It’s only a small role, so it’s not as if I’ll be getting a lot of screen time” says the surprisingly shy actress.

Other than the shoot date she is not able to give much more details on the gig until closer to the air date.

Her latest projects include being a Casting Associate for Lifetime’s controversial film “Aaliyah: Princess of R&B” which came under severe fire from Aaliyah supporters claiming that the movie was a poor representation of the singer and did not receive approval from the singers’ family.

Chin was also the Casting Associate for the highly anticipated upcoming Lifetime original movie “With This Ring” by Director Nzingha Stewart, featuring Eve, Regina Hall, Jill Scott and Brooklyn Sudano with Executive Producer Gabrielle Union.

Shauna Chin is an international Actress, Writer and Director most known for her guest starring role on Jamaica’s number one television series “The Blackburns” and the Festival De Cannes award winning short film “Choices”.

She was appointed NAJASO Goodwill Ambassador to Jamaica where she liaisons between the Govt. of Jamaica and it’s Diaspora to increase reinvestment in sports, entertainment and culture.
