Karrueche Tran On Her Restraining Order Against Chris Brown: “I Needed to Protect My Safety”

Karrueche Tran opens up about Chris Brown falling in love and restraining order. She also discussed smoking weed with Christina Milian and starring in "Claws."

broke her silence obtaining a five-year restraining order against her ex-boo, , during her latest interviews for The Wendy Show and The Breakfast Club, on Thursday (Sep 21).

The actress/model also discussed her hit summer show “Claws” and friendship with .

Although both, she and Brown live in Los Angeles, she told Williams that they “haven’t crossed paths” for months.

She then talked on how she fell for the R&B singer after first meeting him on a job to obtaining a restraining order against him.

“I met Chris on a styling job. I was a personal assistant to a stylist…..So I was on a job, and we met and he did his whole charming thing,” Tran told Williams.

“It started as us just being friends. I didn’t have sex with him, or anything like that. Then it got to my emotions, and I fell in love with him,” she added.

The pair broke up in March 2014 after it emerged that Brown had fathered a child with another woman.

Tran then filed a temporary restraining order against Brown in February 2017, which she was granted. She was also granted a permanent restraining order this past June.

“It came to a point where I felt like I needed to protect my safety,” Tran told Williams.

Tran also revealed that she is single, taking some time to focus on her career and how she a Christina Milian typically link up and smoke weed together.

“We would randomly meet up in, like Beverly Hills or in like random neighborhoods and we would get in my car and we’d smoke,” she said.

“So we’d smoke a little weed and we would just be like girls. We’d sit and we’d talk about life,” she added.

Tran is embarking on a career as an actress now and had a role as an ex-prostitute and now-money-laundering-manicurist called Virginia Loc on the TNT drama Claws.

The show, which also stars Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston and Judy Reyes, was renewed for a second season in July.
