Back in January, Kim Kardashian-West and husband Kanye welcomed their third child and second daughter via surrogate. Now, just seven months later, the couple is reportedly planning to expand to a party of six.
A source told the publication that the two are planning to have their last “embryo implanted in a gestational carrier soon.”
“[They] have one last embryo left,” a second source said, revealing the sex is a male.
Last week, at an event, E! asked Kim about the rumor and she said that she gave a very indefinite answer.
“I don’t know, I don’t know, I read that, I read something…none of that was true,” Kim told them.
“But I’ve been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so…I don’t know,” she expressed.
She also mentioned that if it were to happen, it’d be covered in the next season of KUWTK, which starts shooting next week.
Due to preeclampsia and placenta accreta, and the high-risk pregnancies with daughter, North, 5, and son Saint, 2, Kardashian turned to surrogacy, and per reports, they’re planning on doing the same thing now.
“Doctors said that it wasn’t safe for me, or the baby’s health to carry on my own,” Kardashian said in January.
“After exploring many options, Kanye and I decided to use a gestational carrier. Although I have used the term surrogate in the past, a gestational carrier is actually the technical term for a woman who carries a baby that she has no biological relationship to. A traditional surrogate donates her egg, is artificially inseminated with the father’s sperm and then carries the baby to term. Since we implanted my fertilized egg in our gestational carrier, our baby is biologically mine and Kanye’s.”
In an April interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Kim said that a fourth child would be the final one.
“My home and my heart feel really full right now, in the best way, but a fourth baby would definitely be the final one.”
“I don’t think I could handle more than that. My time is spread really thin. And I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids.”
