His manager, Corey Todd, said the work permit was acquired three weeks ago.
Masicka’s first performance in the United States is scheduled for March 3rd in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The performance will take place at Karu, a multi-complex nightclub.
Dancehall artist Vanessa Bling is also booked for the show.
“I want to spread my music on a wider scale, and this comes with great opportunities,” Masicka told the Jamaica Star.
“It’s a huge platform to showcase my talent”.
The “Top Striker” deejay said that he will be silencing those that had negative things to say about him which included that “Corey was wasting his time”.
“This is just the beginning. People will always talk, that’s what mouths are made for,” he said.
Masicka jetted to the US where he has been photographed with “Lean Back” DJ Fat Joe and Tory Lanez.
It is said that news of Masicka’s permit status now has the Jamaican entertainer in high demand for performances across the states.
Masicka’s manager said the response has been overwhelming and that he has shows booked for Orlando, Tampa and Washington D.C.
His newest single is “Buss” which features US veteran hip hop artist Busta Rhymes.
