Reggae Sumfest 2017 is right around the corner and the event’s line-up will surely pull a massive crowd.
The 25th Edition of this premier global music festival celebrating Jamaican music and culture, enlisted a dynamic list of Dancehall and Reggae entertainers including Alkaline, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Tory Lanez, Aidonia, Beenie Man, Spice, Tommy Lee Sparta, Masicka, Shenseea, Tifa, Jahmiel, Sizzla, Jah Cure, Queen Ifrica, Christopher Martin, Dexta Daps, Richie Stephens among others.
DownSound Entertainment Ltd of Kingston, Jamaica, is the promoter and producer of Reggae Sumfest.
Red Stripe Beer is now the presenting partner for this historic festival that is being held from July 16-22, 2017 inside the Catherine Hall Complex in Montego Bay, St. James.
Josef Bogdanovich, CEO of Downsound Entertainment, is excited for the addition of both artists and believe they add great international appeal to the festival.
“Tory Lanez and Mavado are both strong artistes with international acclaim, and I believe this will benefit the festival and the interest it attracts in overseas markets. Both have enjoyed great recent success and I believe fans of the festival will be excited to see them,” said Bogdanovich.
He also revealed that Alkaline was added to the festival’s 2017 lineup following the realization of music fans high demand for the “Champion Boy” deejay.
Red Stripe presents Reggae Sumfest, which kicks off on Sunday, July 16 with a Beach Party, then moves into the Sumfest Sunset Yacht Party on Monday, July 17.
The staple All-White Party at Pier One happens on Tuesday, July 18, followed by Sumfest Blitz on Wednesday, July 19.
On Thursday, July 20, Pier One will host the exciting Sumfest Heavyweight Clash, then culminate at Catherine Hall on Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22, with the pulsating rhythms of music and Jamaican culture.
