Nicki Minaj’s new album Queen is almost here!
The rapper surprised her fans by announcing on her Queen Beats 1 Radio show that her new album will drop at noon EST/9AM PST on Friday (August 10).
This comes after she previously said that the record wouldn’t drop until next week due to a clearance issue on a Tracy Chapman sample.
“I was gonna play the album right now but someone fvcked up,” Nicki Minaj said.
“It’s a lot of corporate drama in here,” she added.
During the radio show on Thursday evening, she revealed that she had finished the record three hours before she jumped on the air.
Earlier this summer, Nicki Minaj announced that Queen would arrive on June 15. She later delayed it to August 10 and pushed it back again to August 17.
Queen features her singles “Rich Sex” (featuring Lil Wayne), “Bed” (featuring Ariana Grande), and “Chun-Li.”
Other appearances reportedly include the likes of Foxy Brown and Normani.
Nicki Minaj heads out on tour in September alongside Future and controversial Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine.
The “MotorSport” rapper will also be headlining the 2018 Made in America music festival along with Post Malone, and the two-day festival will feature performances by Meek Mill, Diplo, Miguel, Janelle Monáe, Alessia Cara at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia on Sept. 1 and Sept. 2, only a few weeks after the release of “Queen.”
