Ninja Man will be hauled before the court on November 10 for the trial of a 2009 gun murder.
Ninja Man is accused of the March 16, 2009 murder of Richard Johnson. He is jointly charged with his son Janiel and another man Dennis Clayton.
The Jamaican artiste, whose real name is Desmond Ballentine, was expected to stand trial in the Home Circuit Court on April 7th, but it had to be pushed back because there is another case before it.
K.D. Knight joins Ninja Man’s defence team
In the meawhile, well-known attorney-at-law K.D. Knight has joined the defence team of dancehall entertainer.
Ninja Man has been before the courts since 2009. The trial was rescheduled to November 10.
Ninja Man’s son charged with Lotto Scamming
Ninja Man’s son Kimani Ballentine was fined $300,000 or six months at hard labour, when he appeared in the St Catherine Circuit Court yesterda.
Following investigations, the son of the veteran dancehall deejay was reportedly held with lead sheets containing the names and addresses of persons living in the United States of America. He was later charged with Lotto Scamming.
Kimani Ballentine who had pleaded guilty on Friday was represented by Attorney-at-Law Christopher Townsend who pled for leniency on behalf of the accused.
