fan has heaped praise on following the midfielder’s decision to hang up his prestigious boots.

Giggs revealed earlier today that he will be ending his 24-year playing career in order to focus on assisting new manager Louis van Gaal.

The Welshman is the most decorated player in the history of the Premier League – having won 13 league titles during his time at Old Trafford.

With Usain Bolt leading the way in lauding the 40-year-old following his retirement from the beautiful game.

The Jamaican sprinter took to Instagram to say on Giggs:

“Congratulations on a great career Ryan Giggs and all the best in this endeavour as Manchester United assistant coach… #newchapter #legend.”

One of Van Gaal’s biggest tasks during the summer will be replacing a significant amount of experience lost in the dressing room due to the departures of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand as well as Giggs when it comes to the playing side of things.

The 62-year-old Dutchman may now decide to keep Patrice Evra on his books in order to keep a senior member of Manchester United’s dressing room at the club.

Doubts are also lingering over the futures of Nani, Javier Hernandez and Tom Cleverley – while Van Gaal will also decide if he wants to keep hold of first team coaches Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Chris Woods.
