It only took Protoje's latest album "A Matter Of Time" to secure the top spot on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.

scores his second number one on the Billboard Album Chart with “A Matter of Time,” released recently by In.Digg.Nation Collective/Overstand Entertainment/Easy Star Records.

The Reggae singer’s fourth project, which was released on June 29, debuted at number one.

Protoje remains at number one for this weekending July 14th with his fifth album after landing there from the previous week.

A Matter of Time has 10 songs including collaborations with on “Flames” and Mortimer on “Truths & Rights”.

Protoje first gained notice for his 2005 mixtape Lyrical Overdose Volume 1, featuring mostly -influenced songs. His debut album, “The Seven Year Itch,” was released in 2011.

Protoje’s previous chart-topper was 2015’s Ancient Future. The 8 Year Affair was released in 2013 peaked the chart at number 5.

Protoje’s mother is Jamaican singer Lorna Bennett, best known for her 1972 rendition of ‘Breakfast in Bed,’ while his father is a former calypso king from the island nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
