Ashanti seemed to be living her best life down in Trinidad and Tobago as she partied it up for Carnival 2019.
The R&B icon was among several international celebrities who converged on the scene.
While Mya and Chilli were putting on their costumes and hitting the road march, it was Ashanti who took center stage.

The “I’m Real” songwriter also performed with Soca artist Machel Montano on Feb. 25 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Trinidad, and she was praised for showing off her natural assets.
As both artists performed alongside each other, Ashanti began grinding and winding on Machel, who appeared to be pleasurably caught off guard.

She also twerked her rump-shaker midway during their show, and the crowd got a pretty good view of what Ashanti’s backside was working with in her visible form-fitting costume.
“I can’t even explain the amount of fun I had!!!!! One of the best experiences Ever!!! @machelmontano we havin a winin party!!!! Lmaooo thankuuuuuu for everything!!! Welcoming me & my family to the soca life & soca music!!! Trinidad Thanku soooooo much for showing me so much love!!! Truly humbled!!! Love yallll!” she wrote.
Ashanti says she has always been a huge fan of Soca Music, but has never experienced it on this level.
“Working with this Legend has been an absolute honor.. Thank you Mach… for your spirit, your energy, your humbleness and love…you welcomed me and my team with open arms and we became Famalaylaylay! I have such a new found love and respect for Soca music and culture… I’ve always loved Soca music but to experience Carnival & Soca music on this level has been absolutely amazing… truly one of the best times & experiences of my life,” she wrote.
The former Murder Inc songstress is a huge fan of Caribbean music and culture.
After Ashanti’s “fun” in Trinidad and Tobago is over, she’ll be heading back on tour with her former “Murder Inc.” labelmate Ja Rule. The dynamic duo have so far performed six shows in February and have five more shows to do in Indio, California; West Haven, Connecticut; Atlanta; Edmonton, Canada and Lommel, Belgium.
