Tommy Lee Sparta opens up about his arrest in Kingston and leaked photo from jail in Montego Bay.
The Dancehall artist recently stopped by Onstage TV to share his experience on being arrested by masked police, stripped to his underwear in lockup before getting caught on camera, labeled as a “dangerous gangster” by Police Commissioner, and more.
Speaking about a viral photo which showed him handcuffed wearing only a white underpants with a black handkerchief around his neck, Tommy Lee Sparta suggested that the image was taken by police in Montego Bay.
He asserted that the lockup in the Western parish of Jamaica is the worst jail in the world.
“Mobay jail addi wickedest jail inna the world,” he uttered before laughing.
Tommy Lee Sparta, whose given name is Leroy Russell, was taken in custody at the Half-Way-Tree Police Station by C-TOC officers last month just moments after performing at the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall final show.
The entertainer was later transferred to the Freeport police station in St James.
However, the “Spartan Soldier” artist was released a week later after parish Judge Sandrea Wong-Small said he was improperly detained under the Public State of Emergency.
