Vybz Kartel appeal case stumbled another interesting twist as the judges have introduced what they are calling a “defense red herring” regarding a 2011 police report filed by Vanessa Bling (also known as Gaza Slim) that she had been robbed by the deceased, Clive Williams, after the date of his death.
The judges have illegally introduced the alleged red hearing into the case by means of a “back door crevice,” according to the entertainer’s attorneys.
“The judge introduced an alleged red herring that the deceased was robbed after the date of death. Gaza Slim has been illegally squeezed into the case through a back door crevice,” attorney at law Bert Samuels told reporters.
Years ago, the prosecution had alleged that the”One Man” singer cooked up falsified evidence in relation to the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, who was allegedly bludgeoned to death by a group of men including the “Worl Boss” at a house in Havendale, St Andrew. His body has not yet been found.
The female deejay, whose real name is Vanessa Saddler, was arrested and charged in 2011 after filing a report to the Constant Spring Police claiming that she had been robbed by Williams several weeks after his alleged killing while Kartel was arrested for his murder.
The charges against Bling and her co-accused, deejay Vybz Kartel, were dropped in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court in Half-Way-Tree in September 2014. The charges were dropped on the grounds that Kartel’s murder conviction and sentence, which is tied to the case, was being appealed.
Vybz Kartel along with Shawn “Shawn Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St John were convicted in March 2014 for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
