The trial in which he is accused of killing businessman Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton was unable to get underway in the Home Circuit Court this morning because of the absence of the case file.
When the matter was called up, the prosecution informed the court that it could not find the document.
The trial was then rescheduled to the next day.
Lenburgh McDonald and Nigel Thompson are also on trial in terms of the killing of the St Catherine businessman.
The police say Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walker’s Avenue in Gregory Park, St. Catherine in July 2011.
Kartel and his co-accused were charged in October 2011.
