Embattled dancehall recording artiste, Vybz Kartel, was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) earlier this morning after reportedly complaining about chest pains.
Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidjah Palmer, was in handcuff and accompanied by heavily armed police officers, was treated at the hospital and then taken back into custody at the Horizon Remand Center, according to reports.
Scores of fans visiting the hospital flocked the facility to show their support and to get a glimpse of the ‘World Boss’.
Sporting a freaked-out hair style and dressed in an orange T-shirt, a pair of washed-out jeans pants and orange shoes, Kartel was taken to the X-ray department of KPH.
Word in the street is that the deejay is doing better since his visit to the hospital.

Vybz kartel is awaiting trial on two murder charges in relation to the death of St. Catherine businessman/promoter Barrington Burton and dancer Clive Williams.
Attorney-at-law Tom Tavares-Finson who is now representing Kartel (again), in commenting on the lengthy delay in having a trial, said the prosecution to do the right thing and ask the judge to grant Kartel bail.
However, senior deputy director of public prosecutions, Jeremy Taylor, in opposing bail, mentioned to the seriousness of the offence in respect to both Kartel and Campbell.
Kartel has been in custody since September 2011.
