The legacy of imprisoned entertainer, Vybz Kartel, will be kept alive for a very long time.

Embattled deejay, , has a huge catalog of previously recorded unreleased music, according to a source close to the artist.

Since his incarceration in April, Vybz Kartel has been favouring his fans with several new singles every month.

Fans of Kartel have been questioning whether or not the ‘Worl Boss’ deejay has been recording music in prison.

However a representative from the Kartel’s camp, said they are literally sitting on a huge catalog of previously recorded, unreleased material.

“Vybz Kartel was one of the hardest working artist in dancehall, he would literally be in the studio everyday recording new material and so after a while we end up with a hard drive full of unreleased music,” said the source..

“We are steadily mixing and releasing new Vybz Kartel as time goes by, and there are also plans to put together a double disc album next year,” the source added.

The deejay’s rep said that fans can keep their eyes peel some hot new singles in the upcoming months until the end of the year.

Vybz Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, is currently serving a life sentence in a maximum security prison for the murder of his former associate Clive “Lizard” Williams.

He will be eligible for parole in 35 years.
