The incarcerated deejay, who is rightly regarded as one of the most talented Dancehall artists of all time, recently took to Instagram to remind fans exactly where it all began for him.
Vybz Kartel shared a video clip of the first time that his former mentor Bounty Killer called him on stage at a show and introduced him to the masses.

“#tbt 18 year ago ! What a #lifechangingmoment mi General @grunggaadzilla,” Kartel captioned the clip.
The visual shows Bounty Killer performing in front a massive crowd before calling out Vybz Kartel on stage.
“You know say right now anywhere me go I always have to introduce somebody, Vybz Kartel come out,” Killer said before Kartel walked onto the stage.
Bounty Killer chimed in on the video to saluted the “Worl Boss” deejay via the photo sharing platform.
“Trailblazing moment kicking down the doors,” Killer replied in the comments section.
“Well it’s safe to say that he is the only one that follows the trail and blazes it for other to come through also enuh I salute that move,” he further wrote.
In recent months Killer and Kartel have been showing mutual respect for each other following years of feuding.
The “Fed Up” deejay infamously singled out the deejay for praise during a lengthy Instagram rant where he bashed former protege Mavado along with Alkaline.
Dancehall fans, who remain hopeful their revived friendship can result in a collaboration, viewed the notion as a positive move for the genre.
Alliance camp, which is lead by Killer, was home to many top acts such as Busy Signal Wayne Marshall, and Vybz Kartel.
The “Fever” deejay also gave rise to a new generation in Dancehall including Popcaan, Tommy Lee Sparta, Vanessa Bling among others.
