The Florida rapper took to his Instagram story on Thursday (Jan 18) shared the news with his 5.8 Million followers.
“Vybz Kartel featuring XXXTentacion, coming soon,” he wrote.
“Lol only the Jamaicans and hispanics know what i’m talking about!”
XXXTentacion, whose given name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was born and raised in Plantation, Florida.
His father is reportedly Jamaican.
The 19-year-old entetainer’s debut album, 17, which was released on August 25, 2017, debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200.
American rappers wanting to work with Vybz Kartel is nothing new and in fact, over the last few months, rumors surfaced that Billboard-ridden acts such as Drake and Cardi B are looking forward to get the “Worl Boss” deejay on a collaborative track.
Last year, the “Revenge” rapper bashed Drake for using Dancehall for his last two albums, saying that he is way more Jamaican than Drake.
XXXTentacion’s upcoming track with Vybz Kartel will not be his first Dancehall, Reggae single.
In 2017, the rapper teamed up with Sizzla for “My Girl.”
