Yanique Curvy Diva has hit back at critics, who bashed her over a raunchy post she made on Christmas Day.
The Jamaican recording artist came under fire on Monday (Dec 25) after she uploaded a twerking video of herself during Christmas celebrations.
Her post did not sit well with some social media users and after much backlash, the “Lifestyle” singer had to turn off the social media comments on her page.
The media personality, whose real name is Yanique Barrett, on the same day, responded to her critics with another post referring to them as “FANemies.”
“Sometimes I ask God to forgive me for taking my haters attention and energy from their ever blessed life, their amazing job and family not to mention their assests,” Yanique wrote along the post.
“I honestly feel bad that they feel so passionate about half the shit i do with MY life and the people in it. Buttttttt I get it now 🤔 they’re FANemies 😂😂😂😂 love you guys for hating with such passion and vigour voicing your opinions as if I give a shit 😚😙😚 Merry Day and Happy New Year. Stay focus on me loves blessings #fanemy,” she added.
Earlier this week, the entertainer told media reporters that she believed that there was some overreaction from those persons who found the video offensive.
“I realistically don’t celebrate Christmas coming from a Seventh-Day Adventist household. However, I respect everyone’s choice in terms of their religion and denomination, and whatever they do doesn’t affect me really,” she said.
