Yendi Phillipps has turned a new page in her life as she was recently baptized.
The Jamaican model/TV personality got baptized on Saturday morning (July 28) by Church by the Glades pastor, Kory Cassell.
Photos of the baptism surfaced on social media while family, friends and fans congratulated her.
In a set of photographs, snapped by Brian “Teddy” Lewis, Yendi can be seen praying and rejoicing during her immersion in a pool of water.
In a very emotional video, the beauty queen can also be seen crying just moments before going under water. She explained why she had turned her life over to Jesus Christ.
“God has been so good to me… and I’m just so grateful and I’m just humbled by his goodness,” she stated while weeping.
The baptism of the beauty queen comes just days after Jamaican Reggae singer Alaine revealed that she was baptized.
Yendi Phillipps, is a professional dancer and winner of the Miss Jamaica World 2007 beauty pageant, as well as the Miss Jamaica Universe 2010 pageant. She is also known as the baby mother for Dancehall deejay, Chino McGregor.
