She was educated at the University of Western Ontario and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in media technology while making the Dean’s list.
According to serveral reports, her ambition is to increase the awareness of social justice issues through production of documentaries and films, and to inspire positive change through educational initiatives. She also intends to devote more time to her self-established charity, One People, which was founded a year after her father was murdered.
