Drake debuted a new summer single titled“Signs” during the Louis Vuitton Fashion show at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday (June 22).
“Signs” was produced by OVO in-house producer Noah “40” Shebib and serves as the first solo single for Drake since his blockbuster album More Life which broke a number of streaming records this year.
The Toronto rap star first announced the single on Twitter on Wednesday touting it as a tribute to the new Louis Vuitton collection.
Louis Vuitton’s artistic director Kim Jones as revealed that the new single will serve as the soundtrack at the event.
Sticking with a smooth R&B flow, the 6 God emoted about drinking away the pain over mellow production with a bounce.
“Champagne with purpose while I’m yawning,” he sings.
“You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning / Lord forgive me, I can’t take things slowly.”

The Canadian rapper also made subtle references to Rihanna and Nicki Minaj as well as a not-so-subtle nod to his “real friend,” supermodel Winnie Harlow.
“I can’t say no when you say please,” he sings.
“You wanna drink like Bajan and dance like Trini / You want a supermodel pose like mi real friend Winnie / Yeah, vacation’s done but I’m not finished.”
While this is the first solo single for Drake since “More Life,” he has been appearing as guest features with the likes of DJ Khaled and even making a few appearances on tour with Future and The Weeknd.
