Popcaan Releases The “Unruly Law” For Dancehall Fans

recently dropped his first track for the new year.

The Dancehall artist teamed with Dunwell Productions the new single titled “Unruly Law.”

“Nuh time wi nuh move unbalance / Mi nah tek off nuh bwoy under pants… p***y alone mi love (dunwell) / Seh mi nuh response fi who wan try / Badman nuh taste nor bite / AH gyal alone get fi ride my bike / Badman nuh bruk stoplight,” Popcaan spits over the Supreme Riddim.

During Drake’s performance at Unruly Fest 2018, the “Nonstop” rapper announced that Popcaan was officially a member of his label, OVO Sound.

“This is something we’ve worked on for a very long time,” Drake announced.

“I just wanna let everybody know, finally. Officially, 2019 Popcaan is signed to OVO,” he added.

Ever since his breakthrough, a feature on his now incarcerated mentor ’s 2010 hit “Clarks,” Popcaan has become the torchbearer for Dancehall. The Jamaica native, born Andrae Sutherland, has soared from the island to countries worldwide, with 413 million on-demand U.S. streams (audio and video combined) to date, according to Nielsen Music.

His 2018 album, Forever, debuted at No. 2 on Reggae Albums in August, tying his career best on the chart; Where We Come From also hit No. 2 in 2014. Both albums were released through Mixpak Records.
