Pop’s edgiest princess is back with new music of the eclectic sort. On the new song “FourFiveSeconds,” Rihanna has teamed up with Kanye West and Sir Paul McCartney for an acoustic, down-home tune with modern day lyrics.
The track Four Five Seconds was teased by West on Wednesday at the iHeartMedia music summit and follows his own collaboration with the Beatles songwriter earlier this month, Only One.
As with that song, Four Five Seconds is a slower number in a departure from West and Rihanna’s previous collaborations All of the Lights (from West’s album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy) and Run This Town, where the pair teamed up with Jay Z.
McCartney has started 2015 with two unlikely collaborations. Four Five Seconds follows his contribution to the soundtrack of Destiny, one the biggest selling video games of 2014.
