icon died over three decades ago, and his music is inspiring generations.

Arab American comedian  (originally from Saudi Arabia) says he was inspired by the reggae legend’s classic “No Woman No Cry,” to perform a satirical single titled “No Woman, No Drive.”

Hello, my name is Hisham Fageeh. I’m an artist and social activist. I don’t really listen to music, but while studying in the US I heard this song by this Jamaican guy that caught my attention. I decided to do my own rendition; with lyrics relevant to my culture, but without musical instruments. I hope you like it.

Fageeh’s goal was to take a jab at the controversial law in Saudi Arabia banning all female drivers.

Hisham Fageeh uploaded the video “No Woman No Drive” on YouTube on October 26 and it has gone viral with over 7 million views in four days.

“No Woman, No Drive” is a single by Fahad Albutairi, Hisham Fageeh & Alaa Wardi containing 03:37 minutes of music.
