Miley Cyrus gets wild for the night in the video for her Mike WiLL Made It-produced single “We Can’t Stop.”
Miley Cyrus has emerged from a creative cocoon of sorts to release an outlandish comeback music video for “We Can’t Stop,” complete with enormous teddy bears, twerking and a general “I don’t give a f-ck!” attitude.
In the Diane Martel-directed clip, the 20-year-old pop star sheds her squeaky clean image and unveils her hip-hop persona.
The song itself was quick to stir up controversy with a reference to cocaine (“Tryna get a line in the bathroom”) and an easily misheard non-reference to the drug Molly (“Dancing with Miley” versus “Dancing with Molly”).
She sports a grill and twerks at a house party filled with strange scenes including a piñata stuffed with pancakes and hot dogs. Miley jumps in the pool with her friends and dances with over-sized stuffed animals.
Hey, it’s her party, she can do what she wants to.
