Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin performed Bob Marley’s classic “Redemption Song” on The Voice on Monday night (Dec. 2).
With each contestant performing two songs this week, her first performance was close to home, as coach Adam Levine chose Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song”.
Chin stole the show with her mind-blowingly soulful, tear-jerking rendition of the song and was rewarded with a standing ovation from Levine, as well as audience members.
“That song is as important to me as it is important to you,” Adam Levine said. “I was so immerse and lost in that performance.”
“Every week I hear that Jamaican accent getting more and more strong I hear it comes out more,” Christina Aguilera said.
