Jamaica reaches the Gold Cup final for the first time in history and beat The USA by doing so.

On Wednesday night (July 22) towered over the U.S.A. in a historic match where the Caribbean team came out on top.

For the first time in 12 years, the United States have failed to make the final.

The first goal was made by Jamaican player just minutes before his teammate scored goal number two.

The first 30 minutes saw Team play vigorously as the collective put up a tough defense. However in the end, they still came up short.

During the 56-minute mark, Michael Bradley and Tommy Thompson joined forces and eventually helped the team score their first and only goal (70 minutes in).

Jamaica will move on to the semi-final championship game this Sunday (Aug. 1).

And because of their defeat, U.S.A. will have to play the winner of this year’s Gold Cup in a playoff to qualify for the 2017 Confederations Cup.
