The St. Catherine North police are still awaiting a formal report from a woman who was stabbed repeatedly after she allegedly begged another male for a phonecard, Hype Life Magazine has learned.

The accused who is said to be her lover is said to have fled the community with their child after the incident. The stabbing has since become the most talked about topic in the district.

Reports are that about midday on Saturday, the accused and the woman were at home in St Catherine when he reportedly got in an argument with her.

The argument reportedly escalated and the man attacked the woman and stabbed her on her head, neck, back and chest.

The accused then grabbed their three-year-old son and ran away from the community.

As the news spread throughout the community, residents gathered and expressed anger over the situation.

“Di woman was born here but left to St James where she got two children. When she returned here, them start a relationship and a pure war dem war,” a resident said.

Meanwhile, the residents said the man got jealous easily and beat the woman every chance he got.

The St Catherine North Police Division has confirmed the incident; however, they have not received a report from the woman.
