World and Olympic champion Usain Bolt cruised to a 9.87 Season Best win in heat 2 of the men’s 100m race in London.

If Justin Gatlin thought he was on his way to becoming the world’s best sprinter once more, that performance from Bolt suggested otherwise.

American Mike Rodgers was second in 9.92 seconds while St Kitts and Nevis’ Kim Collins was third in 10.02 seconds.

Bolt’s compatriot Kemar Bailey-Cole took heat 1 at the London Diamond league meet in a time of 10.02 seconds while Nesta Carter was third with a time of 10.08 seconds.
