During a massacre in Jamaica, four people were shot with one woman dead after being burned...

Reports from Jamaica state that on Wednesday (Dec. 14) four people were attacked in two separate incidents.

Both incidents occurred in the Barrett Town community in St. James.

The first incident involves two women being shot. Reports are that gunmen kicked in the door to 43 year old vendor Margaretta Service home and opened fire on her several times. Service was subsequently set on fire by her attackers.

The gunmen then went to a neighboring premises and shot another woman. They also set her house on fire. The woman is said to be in hospital being treated for her wounds and is considered to be in serious condition.

The men then continued to marauder through the community, where they went to another premises and shot two men, killing one on the spot. The other remains in hospital.

The police says when they were alerted to the scene, the found Service’s body with gunshot wounds and partially burnt.

The police further went on to say that there is currently no motive for the attacks but they hope to shed some light on what caused the tragedy as an investigation is on-going.
