Masicka Beats Popcaan & Alkaline As Most-Streamed Dancehall Artist On Audiomack (This Week)
Masickaโs music has seen a jump in popularity, propelling him to the top spot as the most-streamed Reggae Dancehall artist on Audiomack this week.
The Dancehall artist took the spot from Alkaline, who held the title for several weeks.
Masickaโs increased streams are supported with tracks from his debut album โ438,โ with โPain,โ featuring Popcaan raking up 2.68m views, โLove Story,โ gathering 2.70m views, and โSuicide Noteโ collecting 2.51m views.
Jahmiel, who is currently promoting his sophomore album, โLegend,โ is at No. 2 while Popcaan and fellow St. Thomas deejay Chronic Law are at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, on the artist-first music streaming platform.
Alkaline took a seat at No.5, the position previously held by Masicka.
Audiomack, which announced this weekโs Most Streamed Dancehall artists via Twitter on Monday (April 18), is a music streaming and audio discovery platform that allows artists and creators to submit an unlimited amount of music and podcasts for listeners via its mobile apps and website.
Billboard announced in February 2021 that Audiomack streaming data would begin shaping several of its flagship charts, including the Hot 100, Billboard 200, and Global 200.
