“The detectives are seeking information regarding the shooting involving Daystar Peterson, and the investigation is still ongoing. I’m not privileged to what the detectives have right now,” a spokesperson said.

On Saturday night (July 11), Megan Thee Stallion shared on Instagram Live that she was hanging out with Kylie Jenner and Lanez in a pool just hours before police responded to a “shots fired” call outside of a Hollywood Hills home at around 4:30 a.m.

On Sunday morning (July 12), Tory Lanez was arrested after police pulled over his SUV and charged the “Shooters” crooner with carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. The rapper posted $35,000 bail and was released at 10:05 a.m. The Canadian rapper is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 13.

On Wednesday (July 15), Megan addressed the shooting incident on Instagram, revealing that she was hospitalized after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

“The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets,” she wrote.

“I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night. I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible,” she continued.
