Jah Reefa Scrutinizes COVID-19 Outbreak With New Video ‘Plandemic’

Dancehall artist Jah Reefa drops the music video for his satirical single “Plandemic” that focuses on the global outbreak of COVID‑19 and its conspiracy theories.

rolls out with a new track titled “Plandemic” along with its visuals.

The Dancehall artist released the single on July 16 and the official music video today.

“Plandemic,” which was produced by Ransford Rowe of New Vineyard Studio on the One Track Riddim, is a satirical track that focuses on the global outbreak of COVID‑19 and the multiple conspiracy theories about the origin of the coronavirus.

The music video was shot in Kingston, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

“There's an opportunity for every disappointment / Inna these hard times look inside of yourself and you will find that strength / Mi brother help who you can help! Yeah! / All when the bills dem high and you can't find cent / And the landlord just rope in fi di rent / don't you worry yourself, Jah Jah will bring help,” the deejay spits on the first verse.

“It's a pandemic a bloody epidemic / Some a say a accident, Some a say them plan it / It's an epidemic a bloody pandemic / Bigging up the worldwide COVID medic / It's a pandemic a bloody epidemic / Self-isolation nobody wanna get it / It's a pandemic a bloody epidemic some a say a accident,” he sings on the chorus.

In an interview with Hype Life Magazine, Jah Reefa shared his opinion on the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I think it's all about population control, every other year something new comes out that threatens the existence of the human race. Just remember to take care of your health and strength,” he said.

The song is available on all streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music.
