Kanye West recently dropped $4.5 million on a relatively modest Hidden Hills estate across the street from his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, as they continue to navigate through divorce proceedings, according to Dirt.
The 44-year-old Grammy Award-winning star purchased the property for $421,000 over the asking price.
The single-story home was built in 1955 and has not been on the market in over 67 years.
The 3,600-square-foot property features four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, plus a guest studio with another bedroom and a full bathroom. The equestrian ranch sits on over an acre of land, and also includes horse stables, a barn, and a pool.
Kanye West, who shares four children with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, closed on the house just two months after he listed his $3.7 million, 4,200 square-foot, former bachelor pad in the same gated community.
The “Gold Digger” rapper used to live directly across the street with Kim and their four kids in their $60 million home. Kim paid Kanye $23 million to buy out his 50 percent stake in the minimalist mansion.
Kim Kardashian Files To Be Legally Single And Drops ‘West’ From Her Last Name Amid Kanye Divorce
The purchase also comes only two weeks after the 41-year-old SKIMS founder filed to be declared legally single since her divorce from Kanye is taking longer than she anticipated.
In court documents, Kim Kardashian explained that nothing could be done to help repair the marriage.
“No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time,” she stated.
She also noted that there’d been a long-standing issue of “irreconcilable differences” between them, and divorce was the only option.
Kim Kardashian, who has been dating Pete Davidson for over two months now, filed for divorce from the “Flashing Lights” rapper in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage.
Kanye West Begs Kim Kardashian To‘Run Right Back To Me’ At Larry Hoover Concert
Despite the fact that Kim Kardashian has moved on in her love life with the 28-year-old comedian, Kanye West recently publicly expressed his desire to get his family back together and reconcile with Kim.
During his “Runaway” song performance at the free Larry Hoover concert in December 2021, the Chicago native begged Kim to come back to him.
“Baby, I need you to run right back to me…more specifically, Kimberly,” he said during an unexpected, emotional moment at the Dec. 9 event.
Despite Kanye West’s huge gestures, Kim Kardashian’s mind seems fixed on leaving the marriage. Following the concert shoutout, Kim shocked fans when she filed to be declared legally single.
Only time will tell if Kanye’s latest endeavor would affect Kim’s decision for separation.
