Spice has been hit with rumors that she was placed in a medically induced coma after suffering a heart attack resulting from cosmetic procedure complications at an undisclosed medical facility in the Dominican Republic.
Earlier this week, rumors surfaced on social media that the “Tape Measure” deejay had been hospitalized in severe condition after her “plastic surgery went wrong.”
The Dancehall artiste’s booking agent Ray Alexander reportedly told multiple news outlets on Wednesday (Nov. 2) that Spice “didn’t suffer a heart attack” and “is not in a coma.”
However, he did not disclose whether or not she underwent “plastic surgery.”
Shortly after, another gossip circulated that Spice was reportedly turned down by her previous surgeon who recommended she not undergo a further surgical operation.
“After speaking to my several sources in DR I have now been able to confirm the clinic and who the surgeon was and put the rumors to rest as well as educate my surgery sisters…. I was informed Spice attempted to go back to her round one surgeon Dr. Marcos Soto and was denied because he felt she did not need any further surgery done 💔 Unfortunately, she went to a less experienced alleged surgeon which we see many do in this situation @ Dr. Rafael Sanchez Acosta who operated on her at Cecipler 😔,” the Instagram handler @beautyandthesurgeon wrote on a post.
“I will not disclose further information with respect to her loved ones and her safety… but knowing the hospital she is at, it’s for severe cases 😢 She truly needs everyone’s prayers 🙏🏼 I also want you girls to please be careful with these so called consultants you are booking that are not experienced and pushing these new surgeons to put them on the map 😒,” the user added.
During an Instagram Live on Wednesday morning (Nov. 2), Minister Marion Hall, formerly known as Lady Saw, chimed in on the topic while urging women not to go through with cosmetic surgery and encouraging her followers to pray for Spice.
“People of God, it is actually true that she [Spice] is sick. Something happened… and people start sending things to my phone. Please, pray for her,” the former Queen of Dancehall stated.
“They said she had an heart attack during surgery. You see how I warn unu bout these surgery, surgery, surgery… stop it. If you gone through a few already and you are alive, stop. I want you all to pray with me because some has confirmed this to me,” she continued prior to praying during the live stream.
“God of Glory… I place Gracie Hamilton, right there, at your feet. God, we had some arguments, a lot of stuff some accusation of me doing evil… But God, today I understand this world you have given me, bitter to bless. I am not bitter, God. You took away my bitterness. Yes, there are times when I cried over accusations. But God put everything aside this morning… I pray in the name of Jesus that you will not just revive her but you will strengthen her. I pray that you will give her a second chance at life… to see her children grow up,” she added.
Spice, whose real name is Grace Hamilton, has yet to comment on the claims.
However, she is slated to perform at the Lions’ Center in George Town, Cayman Islands, on November 25.
This would not be Spice’s first time under the knife as she previously revealed in 2020 that she had cosmetic surgery. Taking to Instagram, the “So Mi Like It” deejay shared a photo of her “new designer body” in November of that year.
Last month, she announced she would be taking a break from social media in a post via her Instagram profile.
“I’ll be off of Instagram for a while, I’m tired of being their only target for clout and click bait. Let’s see if they’re still gonna talk about “Only Me” . I refuse to answer to the noise they creating to gain my attention. Every morning I wake up to something else,” Spice said as she highlighted her new album, “Emancipated,” which was released on August 26 via Stealth Music Group and Spice Official ENT under exclusive license to UnitedMasters LLC.
